About this product
Best for someone recovering from surgery or an injury where the tailbone is sore some days and not others. Also for anyone who wants a properly shaped seat cushion rather than a flat pad.
The seat is moulded to the shape of you, so your weight spreads instead of pressing on two points. The section under the tailbone lifts out when you need the pressure gone, and clips back in when you do not. That means one cushion covers both the sore weeks and the ordinary ones.
The removable pad is the reason to choose this over the plain wedge. Recovery is rarely a straight line, and a cushion you can change to match the day gets used far longer than one you cannot.

Common questions
Why is this dearer than the wedge cushion?
It is moulded to shape rather than a plain wedge, and the coccyx section comes out and goes back. If you only ever need the cut out, the coccyx wedge cushion does that job for less.
Can I use it after surgery?
It is a common choice while sitting is uncomfortable, including after childbirth or tailbone injury. Follow whatever your surgeon or physio has told you about how long to sit.
Which size will fit my chair?
44cm suits most dining chairs and car seats. 50cm suits a wider armchair or a larger frame. Measure between the arms if your chair has them.
Every order here comes through me personally. If you're not sure this is the right one for your situation, ask before you order. I'd rather help you choose well than sell you the wrong thing.
