About this product

Who this is for

Best for someone who tires quickly drinking through an ordinary straw, or who cannot generate much suction. Common with weakness, breathlessness or difficulty swallowing.

What it does for you

An ordinary straw empties the moment you stop, so every sip starts from the bottom of the glass again. These have a one way valve that keeps the straw full even when it leaves your lips. Each sip only has to move the liquid the last short distance. A clip holds the straw against the side of the cup so it does not slide down.

Why we love it

Two straws come in the pack, in two lengths, which is more useful than it sounds. One lives in the usual glass and the other suits a taller tumbler or a bottle by the bed.

Common questions

Can I use them with thickened fluids?

No. They are for thin liquids only. Thickened or semi solid drinks will not pass the valve.

How do I clean them?

Rinse straight after use, warm soapy water, and let them dry fully. Do not leave liquid sitting in the valve.

How many come in the pack?

Two, one 25cm and one 18cm.
