About this product
Best for someone who walks at home but cannot manage the distances a day out asks for. A shopping centre, a hospital corridor, an airport. Someone pushes, and you get your day back. To check the seat fits, sit on a firm dining chair and measure across the widest part of your hips, then add two to four centimetres for clothing. The seat is 50cm across with 44.5cm between the armrests, and it is rated to 120kg.
The united hand brakes are on the push handles, so whoever is pushing controls the chair without letting go. The armrests are padded the full length, which matters on a long morning out. The footplates fold up so you can stand and step away without catching your shins. It folds for the boot.
This is the honest entry point. Steel makes it heavier to lift than aluminium, and it also makes it cheaper and very hard to damage. If the chair lives in the car boot and comes out once a week, this is the sensible choice.

Common questions
Can I push myself in this chair?
No. This is an attendant chair, which means someone pushes you. The rear wheels have no hand rims to grip. If you want to move yourself, look at a self propelled chair instead.
Will it fit in a car boot?
Yes, it folds down the middle to 25.5cm wide. At 15.5kg it is a proper lift though, so if you are lifting it in and out alone every time, the aluminium version at 13.8kg or the travel chair at 8kg will suit you better.
What seat width do I need?
Sit on a firm dining chair and measure across the widest part of your hips, then add two to four centimetres for clothing. This seat is 50cm across, with 44.5cm between the armrests, so compare your measurement against the narrower of the two. Most people fit the 46cm aluminium chair. This one suits a larger frame or a heavy winter coat.
Every order here comes through me personally. If you're not sure this is the right one for your situation, ask before you order. I'd rather help you choose well than sell you the wrong thing.
