About this product
Best for someone who still wants to travel. Flights, trains, coaches, holidays where the walking between things is the hard part rather than the trip itself. It is a narrow chair, so check the seat before you order. Sit on a firm dining chair and measure across the widest part of your hips, then add two to four centimetres for clothing. If you measure over about 41cm, choose a wider chair.
At eight kilos this is light enough for most people to lift into a boot alone. It is narrow enough to fit down the aisle on many planes, trains and coaches, so you can stay in the chair to your seat instead of transferring at the door. It comes with a carry bag, so it checks in as luggage without getting scuffed.
Eight kilos sounds like a small difference until you are lifting it. This is the chair people actually keep using, because getting it out of the car is not a job you have to talk yourself into.

Common questions
Will it fit down a plane aisle?
It is built narrow for exactly that, but aisle widths differ between aircraft and airlines. Confirm the width with your airline before you fly. Ring them with the 41cm seat measurement.
What seat width do I need?
Sit on a firm dining chair and measure across the widest part of your hips, then add two to four centimetres for clothing. This seat is 41cm, narrower than standard, which is the trade off for the light weight and the aisle fit. If you are near or over 41cm, the Lightweight Aluminium Wheelchair at 46cm will be more comfortable for long days.
Can I check it in as luggage?
Yes, and the carry bag is there for that. Most airlines carry a wheelchair free of charge, but check with yours.
Every order here comes through me personally. If you're not sure this is the right one for your situation, ask before you order. I'd rather help you choose well than sell you the wrong thing.
